A Cause Close To My Head

It’s something you hear a lot:  “a cause very close to my heart”.

It can mean a lot of things. It often means that the person saying it has decided to support a charity that tries to solve a problem that they or someone they love has been directly affected by. Someone they love has died of cancer, so they support cancer charities; their best friend uses a guide dog, so they support Guide Dogs.

This blog is about what happens when you take one step away from that immediate emotional reaction.
